Short answer

Moadra has a double jump and it arrives later in the run, not in the opening hours. A reviewer describes gaining abilities like the double jump as progression, and NoobFeed's review says you eventually get a double jump and then wings. The official store copy never uses the phrase, so there is no official unlock table.

No source reviewed names the area, room or boss that grants it. This page does not invent one. It gives you the verified way to gain height before the unlock and the checks to tell whether a ledge is actually waiting for it.

Reach high ledges without it

The early movement set is wider than the tutorial suggests. Try these in order before you mark a ledge for later.

  1. Wall climb: jump into the wall, keep holding toward it, and tap jump repeatedly as you slide. You can gain several body lengths this way.
  2. Ball form: use crawl spaces and low tunnels to reach a room from the other side.
  3. Charged shot lift: aim a charged shot downward and fire at the top of a jump for a small extra rise.
  4. Ledge hang: grab the edge and shoot enemies before pulling up.
  5. Destructible blocks: shoot suspicious wall sections; several routes open rather than require a jump.
  6. Scanner: confirm whether the ledge is a route at all or just a collectible perch.

If the wall is smooth, the gap is horizontal, or the ledge has no room beyond it, the double jump may genuinely be the answer. Mark it and move on.

How to tell whether you already have it

Test in a safe room with a flat ceiling. Jump, then press jump again at the apex. If nothing happens, the ability is not unlocked yet. Check the controls menu for a dedicated ability entry if your build lists one; the default bindings are not published.

A high ledge that looks designed for a double jump can be a false signal. The Underground Depths report is the clearest example: the route was a ground-level passage, not the ledge.

If you think you missed it

Because the unlock point is undocumented, there is no reliable checklist to reconstruct. Work from the story instead: late-game areas, the Ranaar search and the Conduit Gateway chapters come after most movement upgrades. If you are still in the first third, the ability is probably not available yet.

  • Check the map objective; a movement gate usually appears after a story transition, not in a random side room.
  • Try the wall climb before assuming the ledge needs the double jump.
  • Compare against the chapter route to see whether you are past the mid-game.
  • If a boss is blocking progress, reassigning upgrades is more useful than hunting an ability you may not be able to reach.

Questions players ask

Where do you get the double jump in Moadra?

No published source names the unlock location or trigger. It is confirmed as a later-game ability, and wings come after it. Treat any specific room claim without a source as unverified.

Can I reach high ledges without the double jump?

Often yes. Repeated wall climbing, ball form, destructible blocks and a charged shot fired downward cover several early gaps. Check those before saving the ledge for later.

Does the double jump come with wings?

NoobFeed describes getting the double jump and then wings later, so they are separate progression steps. The exact order and triggers are not documented in the sources reviewed.
