The blaster roster

The Evolve screen confirms Alpha, Gatling and Spire blasters plus the Protocannon. A community location video adds Spread, Nova and Plasmawave and orders the pickups Spire, Gatling, Spread, Nova, Plasmawave. The official store page does not publish a list or a total.

Reviewers also use informal names such as shotgun and grenade launcher. Those describe a firing style, not a separately confirmed weapon. Use the in-game name when you spend points.

Switching and firing

Weapons switch on the fly from a weapon wheel, so you are not locked to one gun. That matters because enemies and shields reward different firing styles.

  • Hold the trigger on the Gatling to sustain fire; release before the heat meter fills.
  • Charge shots cost a moment of setup but break eye barriers and add lift when fired downward.
  • Missile-type attacks are the answer to armour; ordinary blaster shots bounce off.
  • Lock on before switching targets so your aim does not drift during the swap.

Evolve upgrades and respec

Spend Protoplasm at organic Evolve Chambers. The screen shows each weapon node with three axes. A reviewer describes the common axes as damage, fire rate and projectile speed, which matches the labels on the official capture but is not a universal guarantee for every gun.

Upgrades are refundable. Select a bought node and use the buy input to return the points. That makes a weapon swap a respec, not a new save. The screen also has a Stop Evolving control for leaving the menu.

Numeric costs are not printed on the official screenshot, so there is no honest cost table to publish.

Heat and armour

Rapid-fire weapons overheat. Holding the Gatling through a boss phase is the fastest way to lose your damage window, so fire in bursts and let the meter fall while you reposition.

Armoured enemies are a separate problem. Blaster fire bounces, and the answer is a missile-class attack that spends energy. A player reply describes holding L1 on a controller; check your own control layout because defaults vary by platform.

Weapon locations

There is no written, verified location list. The community all-blasters video provides timestamps for five pickups, and a separate 47-second video claims an early Gatling route. Neither has a transcript that can be checked here, so this page does not paraphrase directions from thumbnails.

  • Use the Gatling Blaster page for its behaviour, upgrade axes and the state of the early-route evidence.
  • Track weapons you have found against the Evolve screen; unowned nodes stay visible.
  • Master of Blasters is the collection achievement. Its global rate was 25.3 percent on 3 November 2026, which confirms a full set exists but not how many.

If a weapon seems missing

  1. Check the Evolve screen: an unowned weapon still appears as a node.
  2. Confirm you have the area access for that chapter; several pickups sit behind passkeys.
  3. Re-scan the room; weapon rooms often hide the container behind a breakable surface.
  4. Compare against a full-clear chapter rather than a short clip with no context.
  5. Do not assume a missed weapon ruins the run; respec lets you keep playing with what you have.

Questions players ask

How many weapons are in Moadra?

Six blaster names are confirmed across official UI and a community location video: Alpha, Gatling, Spire, Spread, Nova and Plasmawave, plus the Protocannon. The developer has not published an official total.

Can I respec weapon upgrades?

Yes. Select a purchased node and use the same input to refund it. Community guides describe the refund as free; the developer has not published a separate respec note.

How do I kill armoured enemies?

Use missile-type attacks. Ordinary blaster fire bounces off armour. A player reply describes holding L1 on a controller, but check your platform's controls.

Which weapon is best?

There is no evidence-backed tier list. The Gatling is strong against tanky bosses but overheats, and the Spire and Alpha cover different ranges. Match the weapon to the fight rather than treating one as universal.
