An area map, not a world map

The map screen shows the area you are in. The region name sits in the title bar rather than on the terrain, and the explored rooms fill in as you scan and walk. No complete fan cartograph with verified connections exists, so this page does not pretend to be one.

That distinction matters when a route looks blocked. A missing corridor may be in another area, behind an elevator, or simply not scanned yet. The map is a record of exploration, not a full-planning tool.

Confirmed area names and how firm they are

These names appear in official screenshots, the demo patch notes or the full-clear chapter markers. Their boundaries are not published.

Fast travel and the Guardians

The fast-travel network is called Guardians. Developer notes describe existing portals that will show their destination more clearly in a future patch, which implies the current interface can be ambiguous.

  • The hub is described as the Conduits, with portals that link to particular places rather than every save room.
  • A specific upgrade is needed before the portals work; early on the map cannot teleport you back to everything.
  • Portal destinations are not a plain list, so learn which portal matches which region.
  • Unlock timing and the number of portals are unpublished.

Markers, icons and planned changes

The map automatically pins some points of interest. Notes from the demo's 1.1.0 patch mention adding elevator-door and area-damage icons. Custom markers and colour coding per area are on the first-patch list, which had not shipped when this page was checked.

Do not plan around custom markers yet. If a patch adds them, the map screen will change and this section will need a fresh check.

When the map makes a route look blocked

  1. Read the objective at the bottom of the map. It names the next area more often than it names a room.
  2. Pan to the edge for an elevator or damage icon that is off-screen.
  3. Scan the room's walls and floor; the map only knows what you have explored.
  4. Test breakable-looking surfaces with ordinary fire and a charged shot.
  5. If you are in Underground Depths, use the known room and passage in the depths guide.

For high ledges that look like missing upgrades, the double jump page lists what you can do before the late-game ability arrives.

Questions players ask

Is there a full Moadra world map?

No verified complete map is published. The in-game screen is an area map with explored rooms. A 100 percent map video exists, but it is a recording rather than a reusable map.

How do I fast travel in Moadra?

Use the Guardians network at the Conduits. Portals link specific places and need an upgrade before they work. Unlock timing and portal count are not published.

Can I place custom map markers?

Custom markers and per-area colour coding are on the announced first-patch list and had not shipped as of 5 November 2026. The current build has automatic points of interest.

Why does the map show a dead end?

The map only records explored space, and hidden passages do not appear until scanned. Read the objective, pan for off-screen icons, then scan the room before backtracking.
