Which area players mean
Underground Depths is a real area name, and the developer's first-patch note singles out its difficult platforming section. Players also shorten it to the depths or the deeps. The reported stuck room sits below a high ledge, with a red blob gate on one side and a gas pit at the bottom left.
The area was not changed by a shipped patch as of 5 November 2026. The announced patch would adjust the platforming, so the route below is for the launch build.
The reported way out
A player stuck in exactly this room was told the main path is in the far-east room: the one with the one-sided red blob gate and the high ledge. A secret passage sits at ground level on the left. The original reporter found it only after moving close enough for the scanner to resolve the passage.
- Return to the far-east room with the high ledge and the red blob gate.
- Drop to ground level instead of trying to climb the ledge.
- Face the left wall and walk along it while scanning.
- Watch for a passage outline in the lower wall, not at the top of the room.
- Enter and follow the corridor to the next area.
The original reporter found it only after moving close enough for the scanner to resolve the passage. Scanning from the room centre was not enough.
Scan the room properly
The scanner is the intended answer to several blocked rooms. Sweep the walls at several heights, then repeat from closer in. Hidden routes are invisible in normal view, and the scan also marks whether an object has already been examined.
- Walk the wall you believe is solid.
- Check floor and ceiling joins, not only eye-level.
- Look for breakable blocks that match the wall texture.
- If an enemy is stalking you, clear it or immobilise it first; the scanner is hard to read mid-fight.
Test what kind of obstacle you have
Wide table — scroll sideways on a phone.
| Obstacle | What to try |
|---|---|
| Green or cyan eye barrier | Ordinary fire or one charged shot |
| Armoured enemy blocking a corridor | Missile-type attack; blasters bounce off |
| Hard-shell crawler on a platform | Shoot it to immobilise it for about five seconds |
| High ledge with a smooth wall | Wall jump climb, or charged shot fired downward for lift |
| Sealed-looking wall | Scanner sweep at ground level and mid-height |
| Gas pit | Treat as a hazard, not a route; look for a side passage |
Is it a real softlock?
The developer acknowledged that some backtracking points look like softlocks and that players reported false alarms. That is not a blanket promise that every save is recoverable. Work through the checks above before loading an older save.
- Scan every wall in the room you entered from.
- Check the map objective and any off-screen elevator icon.
- Test ordinary fire and a charged shot on suspicious surfaces.
- If the whole run is blocked in the final dungeon, the developer workaround is to let the boss defeat you and revive at the last pool. Do not use it during an Immortal no-death attempt.
After you get out
The next objective should appear on the map. A developer reply corrected an earlier direction for a similar report to Western Wastes and Glacial Summit, but that was an image-relative hint for one player, not a universal route.
If the next gate still refuses you, check passkeys and movement gates and the area map guide. For high ledges, the double jump page explains why the ability may not be the answer yet.
Questions players ask
How do I get out of the Underground Depths in Moadra?
In the reported room, go to the far-east room with the high ledge and one-sided red blob gate. A secret passage is at ground level on the left. Walk the lower wall with the scanner until the outline appears.
Why can't I scan the passage?
The scanner has a limited range. Move closer to the wall and sweep at several heights instead of scanning from the room centre.
Is the depths section a softlock?
The developer acknowledged that some points look like softlocks but did not confirm an unrecoverable state for this room. Players have found a passage. Try the checks here before loading an older save.
Did a patch fix the depths?
The first-patch plan, announced 27 October 2026, includes adjusting the difficult platforming section in the Underground Depths. No shipped patch was confirmed when this page was checked on 5 November 2026.
